We are seeking an experienced Aerial Laborer to join our team at Ervin Cable. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled individual to work in the telecommunications industry and contribute to connecting America.
Key Responsibilities:- The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ground support to technicians, ensuring that all necessary parts are available, and transporting equipment as needed.
- Ensuring door-tagging and resident notification of construction activities has been completed prior to starting each workday is also a critical aspect of this role.
- Maintaining daily inspection and upkeep of fleet vehicles and equipment is essential, with documentation required for record-keeping purposes.
- A minimum age of 18 years old and authorization to work in the United States are mandatory.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid standard Driver's License holding a minimum of 2 years driving experience or a Class A Commercial Driver's License.
- Previous unskilled labor experience, particularly in the telecommunications field, is beneficial but not necessary.
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and occasionally assist in lifting heavier loads is crucial.
- Pole climbing certification or demonstrated proficiency in pole climbing is advantageous.
- Familiarity with aerial and underground cable installation procedures, including compliance with NEC Electrical Code, System specifications, and City regulations, is desirable.
