Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CT Scanner Specialist to join our Radiology team at Intermountain Health Logan Regional Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality CT scans using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 35 hours a week on a 7-on-7-off schedule with night shifts from Monday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday. The role requires working independently with ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to deliver excellent patient care and maintain high-quality scan results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring proper patient identification, order verification, and preparing patients for exams;
  • Performing CT procedures according to department protocols;
  • Understanding cross-sectional anatomy and demonstrating anatomical positioning competency;
  • Familiarity with the ALARA program and adhering to radiation safety protocols;
  • Critiquing own films and maintaining quality standards;
  • Completing studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising patient care or scan quality;
  • Familiarity with protocol-related contrast administration;
  • Administering oral barium products or intravenous contrast material under radiologist supervision;
  • Practicing infection control and sterile techniques;
  • Providing patient education and ensuring patient comfort;
  • Operating CT equipment and related information systems to produce high-quality images;
  • Maintaining proficiency with contrast injectors and laser printers;
  • Mastering electronic imaging and manipulating images;
  • Thoroughly documenting all required information, including time stamps and image storage;
  • Adhering to medical necessity, coding, and charging protocols, as well as obtaining consents when necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)
  • Relevant State licensure (where required)
  • Demonstrated CT proficiency
