Job Overview

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a community-based organization dedicated to providing quality, comprehensive health and human services to diverse communities. We are seeking a skilled Culturally Sensitive Social Services Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

This full-time position involves conducting initial screenings, providing comprehensive integrated clinical psychosocial assessments, and developing intervention plans. The ideal candidate will have experience working with underserved populations, including those with limited English speaking skills, homelessness, and migrant workers.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial screenings and comprehensive integrated clinical psychosocial assessments to identify client needs.
  • Develop intervention plans based on assessment results and provide brief treatment.
  • Refer clients to appropriate agencies or services and provide information for self-referral.
  • Advocate for clients as needed to resolve problems interfering with care plan participation.
  • Maintain professional standards and follow agency policies and procedures.
  • Complete thorough, culturally sensitive psychosocial assessments and share results with clients and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and current Certified Counselor through the State of Washington Department of Health or Chemical Dependency Counselor.
  • Experience working with underserved populations, including those with substance use disorders, chronic mental illness, and crisis intervention needs.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based screening tools and ability to use them to make level of care interventions and referrals.
  • Good working knowledge of electronic health record platforms and Microsoft suite of programs.
