Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant - Patient Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the nursing staff by collecting and reporting patient data, performing inventory control tasks, and maintaining exam rooms with adequate stock levels of medical supplies. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination of care.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare exam rooms for provider evaluations and maintain accurate inventory levels of medical supplies
* Perform routine inventory control tasks, including ordering supplies as needed
* Assist with data collection for nursing histories and physical exams, ensuring timely communication of changes to RNs or CRNPs
* Provide patients and families with relevant information to facilitate coordination of care
* Retrieve supplies from vendors or in-house sources and secure them in designated areas
* Deliver patient-specific items to assigned RNs or CRNPs
* Maintain a safe environment and prevent patient injuries by observing at-risk patients
* Participate in staff meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
* Perform quality control on urinalysis and pregnancy tests
* Assist physicians or CRNPs with physical exams and document findings in patient records and EMRs

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
* Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification by the State of Pennsylvania (Required)
