Behavior Support Specialist

A behavior technician provides direct support to students with autism and related developmental disabilities in a school setting. This is a full-time position at Lancaster City Schools.
Location: Bridge, General Sherman Junior High, Tarhe Preschool
Salary Range: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
About the Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a behavior technician. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with children with autism and related developmental disabilities in a home, school, or clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
• Provide skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols to students
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement student plans
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and data
Requirements:
• Holds or is eligible to obtain full ODE licensure and/or an Ohio aide permit
• One year of successful experience working directly with children with autism and related developmental disabilities
• High School Diploma required; any college coursework in behavioral sciences, psychology, special education, human development, or a related field preferred
• Possesses experience in providing skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI background checks
• Valid Ohio driver's license
