Occupational Therapist Assistant for Home Healthcare

Apollo is a leader in home healthcare, seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. This role involves providing quality care to patients in their own homes. Our team of dedicated professionals is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patient's functional status and identify areas for improvement as delegated by the registered occupational therapist.
- Assess the home environment for hazards or barriers to independent living and provide recommendations for modification as delegated by the registered occupational therapist.
- Teach new skills or retrain patients in daily activities lost due to illness or injury, following organization policy.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, notes, and reports on patient progress to the registered occupational therapist.
- Follow established treatment plans and goals for improved patient function as set by the registered occupational therapist.
- Graduate of an occupational therapy assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Certified with the National Certification Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Licensed by the State Board of Healing Arts in accordance with state licensure laws.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
