Fleet Yard Specialist

Position Title: Yard Driver

Job Overview:
This role involves the management of rendering trailers that have undergone visual inspections prior to and following the loading of various materials including offal, feathers, premium parts, and bone residue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Retrieve and handle rendering trailers, ensuring they are inspected before and after loading.
• Once loaded, position trailers on the designated drain pad to facilitate the removal of excess water.
• Document the following details for each trailer: Time of Day/Night, Trailer Number, and loading status (Accept or Reject).
• Ensure that any trailer marked as Reject is returned to an Accept status before loading or hauling.
• Manage issues related to Foreign Material, excess water, and mixed raw materials.

Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to climb in and out of trucks and work in varying outdoor temperatures.

Safety Requirements:
Utilization of personal protective equipment is mandatory, including goggles, hair nets, beard nets, smocks, boots, rubber gloves, cotton sleeves, and hearing protection.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years old.
• Willingness to undergo a Motor Vehicle Record check with no DUI or DWI offenses in the past year.
• Rehires must meet specific criteria regarding previous employment.
