The Market Broiler Restaurant brand was launched in 1989 in Riverside, CA, with a flagship restaurant earning the coveted Best for Seafood crown for over three decades.

With six additional locations throughout California, our restaurants offer a unique dining experience, ranging from casual neighborhood settings to larger, higher-traffic versions with an entertainment vibe.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team, with a minimum of 2-4 years of full-service restaurant management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws.
  • Manage to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
  • Perform all duties of restaurant employees and related departments as necessary.
  • Open and close restaurant shifts.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Supervise staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met.
  • Encourage employees to provide excellent customer service within guidelines.
  • Handle guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance from supervisor as necessary.
  • Monitor employees to ensure performance expectations are met.
  • Provide feedback to employees based on observation of service behaviors.
  • Assist in supervising daily shift operations.
  • Supervise restaurant and all related areas in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager.
  • Participate in department meetings by communicating a clear and consistent message regarding the departmental goals to produce desired results.
  • Ensure all employees have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Communicate to Chef and Restaurant General Manager any issues regarding food quality and service levels.
