Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse in the post-surgical unit at Williamson Health, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university, as well as a valid Tennessee nursing license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time of admission, utilizing skills of observation, communication, and examination.">
  • Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.">
  • Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.">
  • Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.">
  • Document accurately and timely.">
  • Reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.">
  • Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have

  • ">
  • Able to communicate in English verbally and legibly.">
  • Requires prolonged standing and working for up to twelve hours a day.">
  • Able to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day.">
  • Able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.">
  • Valid Tennessee nursing license.">
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.">
  • Basic arrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire (for certain units).">
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire (for certain units).">
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire (for certain units).">
  • PALS certification within 6 months of hire (for certain units).">
  • ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire (for Oncology unit).">
  • TNCC Preferred (for Adult Emergency Room).">
  • ENPC or TNCC certification within 6 months of hire (for Pediatric Emergency Room).">

Williamson Health offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience.
