Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Applications Programmer to join our team in the University's Enterprise Application Services. As a key member of the Student Systems team, you will partner with other programmers, database administrators, internal technical resources, internal customers, and vendors to support and extend the enterprise-wide software solutions that support UVM's students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Support and extend enterprise-wide software solutions for student systems
  • Partner with other programmers, database administrators, and vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and secure data flow
  • Develop, deploy, and support custom-developed applications in the portfolio
  • Automate processes and extend functionality of existing applications
  • Collaborate with internal customers and vendors to meet their technical needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical field
  • At least four to five years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of three years of scripting and programming
  • Proficiency working with SQL and relational databases
  • Technical experience supporting, developing, or extending critical, enterprise-wide ERP applications
  • Demonstrated expertise in a combination of at least half of the following technologies: Java, Eclipse, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Groovy, Grails, SQR, PL/SQL, Bash, and Linux
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience with Ellucian's Banner Student Information Systems or other enterprise-wide student-related systems
  • Experience with Git, Oracle database, middleware, and development tools, web application architecture, and Java-based web services
