Embryology Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Embryology Specialist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing basic technical and clinical duties under the supervision of a supervisor and manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform collection and preparation of oocytes for insemination, including oocyte microscopic identification, cleaning, distribution in dishes, and insemination.
• Analysis and preparation of sperm specimen for insemination or for ICSI (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection).
• Assessment of fertilization and zygote quality following insemination.
• Daily assessment and handling of embryos through Day 6 of in vitro culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• One year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing basic embryology techniques prior to in vitro fertilization.
• Excellent written and communication skills with ability to interact with patients, staff, and physicians.
