Job Summary

The Administrative Assistant in the Office of Communications will provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President for Communications and the rest of the Communications staff. This role will also manage Seminary Hill Press orders, inventory, and other SHP support functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Communications team, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Manage Seminary Hill Press orders, inventory, and other support functions.
  • Provide backup assistance to the Project Manager as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work and manage customer orders and requests.
  • Self-starter who anticipates and addresses needs before they are stated.
  • Ability to work well with a team.
  • Must be comfortable working with Microsoft Office software.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of and experience in administrative support roles and functions.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, although not required.
  • Ability to provide proof of identity and work authorization in the U.S.
Working Conditions

This role requires frequent sitting and reaching with hands and arms. The ability to lift 5-20 pounds of materials, parts, and equipment is also required. The employee will occasionally become aware of confidential information and must maintain confidentiality.
