The Opportunity

As a skilled maintenance professional, you will work under supervision to perform routine maintenance tasks on warehouse distribution equipment and facility systems. Your responsibilities will include intermediate electrical repairs, mechanical maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for mechanical and electrical issues connected with facility, equipment, and conveyor systems.

  • Conduct minor to intermediate level troubleshooting procedures for mechanical and electrical issues in accordance with established safety, performance, and quality standards.
  • Install, uninstall, repair, and service warehouse conveyors, machinery, and equipment, and assist with emergency breakdown repairs.
  • Utilize technical manuals, electrical and mechanical blueprints, schematics, and written instructions to perform basic to intermediate level maintenance tasks.
  • Pull from technical support sites, customer contacts, and internet troubleshooting resources to aid in equipment repair.
  • Maintain standard HVAC systems and components, such as pumps, check valves, thermostats, flow valves, and gauges.
  • Operate hand and power tools for general carpentry tasks.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on facility safety systems (sprinkler, generator, etc.).
  • Support the company's preventative maintenance program by performing predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Participate in company inspection and testing programs, including fire and security systems, backup generator, etc.
  • Log required information in the emaint CMMS system to maintain parts inventory.
  • Operate company trucks and material handling equipment.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor to meet business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A High School or Technical Diploma.
  • 3-5 Years of relevant work experience.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with almost continuous moderate physical effort.
  • Significant exposure to disagreeable conditions or hazardous elements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • The ability to successfully pass Equipment Operator training and operate equipment under established safety guidelines.
  • The capacity to lift 50 lbs regularly.
  • The ability to maintain focus to promote a safe work environment and prevent injury to others.
  • The ability to work safely from various heights.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with conveyor systems.
  • The ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
  • Vision required to read instruction, interpret data, and be aware of surroundings.
  • Hearing required to receive and follow work instructions.
