Culinary Innovation Director

Sodexo, a leading hospitality and food services company, is seeking a highly skilled Culinary Innovation Director to lead our culinary sustainability operations at Gonzaga University, a Sodexo Center of Excellence and Innovation.

About the Role

We are looking for a visionary leader with a passion for innovation, sustainability, and exceptional hospitality experiences. As a senior culinary executive, you will oversee the entire culinary operation, from conceptualizing menus to leading a talented team of chefs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Culinary Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive culinary strategies that reflect our commitment to quality, innovation, and exceptional hospitality experiences.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of chefs, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Menu Development: Curate diverse and appealing menus for various hospitality outlets, ensuring they align with the latest culinary trends, sustainability, dietary needs, and campus preferences.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day culinary operations, driving efficiency, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Client Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, collaborating closely to understand and exceed their culinary expectations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior culinary leadership position, preferably in a university or large-scale hospitality environment.
  • A proven track record of innovation, sustainability, and exceptional hospitality experiences.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse personalities.
  • Culinary credentials, such as a formal education or equivalent experience, with a passion for continuous learning.
What We Offer

Sodexo offers a competitive salary, estimated at $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and access to ongoing training and development programs.
