Trucking Operations Specialist

The Trucking Operations Specialist will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to and from various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, customer service, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety: Operate a Class A or B commercial vehicle in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Transportation: Transport goods to and from distribution centers, stores, and other locations as assigned.
- Freight Handling: Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and techniques to ensure safety and prevent damage.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth operations.
- Adherence to Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, including hours-of-service regulations.
- Additional Duties: Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Valid CDL: A valid CDL Class A or B license with hazmat endorsement and a clean driving record.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience driving commercial vehicles (Class A or B).
- Knowledge: Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Communication: Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50lbs and perform physical tasks related to loading/unloading.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma: A high school diploma or GED.
- CDL Requirement: A valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) Class A or B is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 2+ years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably with similar-sized trucks.
- Load Securement: Experience with load securement and safe transportation of goods/products is preferred.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Knowledge of DOT regulations and FMCSA safety standards is required.
