About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team at IMEG Corp. As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will assist with calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals, and BIM instructions for projects to ensure project completeness and accuracy within the allocated period and monetary budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems according to code and IMEG standards;
  • Research commercially available equipment and assist with good client relations, project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files;
  • Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines, such as architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers;
  • Document design decisions, meetings, and instructions from clients promptly while monitoring project design progress;
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness prior to requesting a final check;
  • Prepare and issue addendum information as needed;
  • Conduct periodic job site observations and other services as required by the contract services agreement;
  • Perform other duties assigned by the employer.
Requirements
  • Completed Sophomore year towards Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field;
  • Prior internship experience with building systems design and/or knowledge of construction techniques is a plus;
  • Strong interest in design consulting and ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CAD software, and BIM.
