Job Summary:

The LPN Float Nurse is a vital member of the Morning Pointe Community team, responsible for providing high-quality healthcare services to residents. As a traveling LPN, you will work under the supervision of the Regional Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing, and Executive Director of the Community. Your primary goal is to ensure the health and well-being of our residents, while also maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Store and manage resident medications in compliance with State and Federal regulations and Morning Pointe's medication policies.
• Dispose of medications in accordance with State and Federal regulations and Morning Pointe's Medication Disposal policy.
• Assist residents with taking medications in compliance with State and Federal regulations, and in accordance with resident physician's orders and Morning Pointe's medication policies.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a state accredited Nursing school, licensed as an LPN or RN in the state in which services are performed, and a current CPR Certification.
• Prefer experience with the elderly in a nursing home, assisted living, or residential setting.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and effectively communicate with both written and oral instructions.

Physical Demands:

This position is classified as HEAVY, requiring exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to life/move objects. Functional requirements include constant standing and walking, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.
