About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our Oncology team at Ethos Veterinary Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee appointments and manage client relationships throughout their visit, ensuring a positive and personalized experience.
  • Collaborate with DVMs in patient assessment, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures, utilizing your expertise to provide the highest level of care.
  • Obtain and process laboratory samples, including blood, urine, free fluid, and fine needle aspirates, to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Utilize various imaging modalities to assess patients and procedures, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Execute, monitor, and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events, prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide empathetic and compassionate care to all patients, serving as a strong advocate for their needs and well-being.
  • Maintain all equipment on a per-use basis, ensuring the safety and best practice care of all patients.
  • Knowledge and preparation of various chemotherapeutic agents are preferred, with additional on-site training provided as needed.
  • Communicate extensively with clients, educating them on various oncology disease processes and providing personalized guidance and support.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting, with a strong background in oncology care.
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, with a commitment to developing long-term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community.
  • Positive outlook and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional client service, with a focus on empathy and compassion.
