Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to work as a Clinical Data Analyst, Registry - Inpatient Coder. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for coding and abstracting diagnoses and procedures from inpatient and outpatient medical records for optimal and timely reimbursement and quality reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coding and abstracting diagnoses and procedures from inpatient and outpatient medical records
  • Assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes and DRGs for inpatient medical records accounts
  • Abstracting key data elements required for billing
  • Reviewing records for clinical pertinence
  • Interacting with providers for clarification of documentation/education
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An associate or bachelor's degree
  • Facility-based inpatient coding experience
  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
