Aircraft Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Amentum. As an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing organizational, intermediate, and limited depot level maintenance on assigned aircraft, components, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test aircraft systems to ensure proper functioning
  • Perform repairs and modifications to aircraft components and equipment
  • Conduct troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve issues
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems and provide technical assistance to other employees
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' recent experience in ejection seat maintenance and two years recent egress system repair experience
  • F-16A/B/C or D aircraft maintenance experience
  • Graduate of the Air Force F-16A/B/C or D Aircrew Egress System Specialist Technical School T/M/S or factory equivalent ejection seat course of instruction
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance

Preferred Requirements:

  • Hazardous Waste Communication Training
  • FOD and TCP Awareness Trained
  • Security Clearance Awareness Training
  • COMNAVAIRFORINST Program Awareness
  • ISO Program Awareness
  • NALCOMIS/OOMA or Air Force Aircraft Maintenance Management system
  • ESD Trained
  • Support Equipment Operator's License (Tow Tractor, N2 Servicing Trailer and Mobile Start Unit at a minimum)
  • Collateral Duty Inspector (in 2 T/M/S aircraft)
  • Egress System Checkout
  • Non-Nuclear Ordnance Explosive Handling Certified
  • Plane Captain Qualified
  • Aircraft Towing Certified
  • Aircraft Brake Rider Certified
  • Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training
  • Fuel Surveillance Trained, Engine Run ( 1 T/M/S minimum) Troubleshooter/Final Checker Certified
