Job Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Budtender / Sales Associate to join our team at A Rae medical cannabis dispensary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Consultation: Provide personalized service by discussing patients' symptoms and medical needs, offering recommendations for cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and other products.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest cannabis products, strains, and industry trends, providing accurate information on potency, effects, dosage, and consumption methods.
  • Sales & Transactions: Assist patients in selecting appropriate products while ensuring compliance with local regulations, processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and maintaining correct inventory records.
  • Education & Support: Provide educational resources and information on safe consumption practices, potential side effects, and legal regulations surrounding medical cannabis use.
  • Compliance: Ensure all patient interactions and transactions comply with local and federal regulations, including verification of patient eligibility and maintaining patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of cannabis products, consumption methods, and their potential effects, familiarity with the medical cannabis landscape is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in an approachable manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle cash and transactions accurately.
