As a military police officer in the U.S. Army, you will play a critical role in maintaining law and order within Army installations.

Job Overview

Military police officers are responsible for enforcing military laws and regulations, controlling traffic, preventing crime, and responding to emergencies. They work closely with other branches of the military and local law enforcement agencies to ensure public safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Law Enforcement Patrols: Conduct regular patrols of Army installations to detect and prevent crime.
  • Investigations: Interview witnesses, victims, and suspects to gather evidence and solve crimes.
  • Crime Scene Processing: Secure and process crime scenes to collect evidence and preserve it for further analysis.
  • Arrests and Charges: Arrest and charge individuals suspected of committing crimes.
Requirements
  • Basic Qualifications: Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder.
  • Education and Training: Complete 20 weeks of One Station Unit Training and on-the-job instruction in police methods.
