Responsibilities:
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care to patients
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Monitor patients' vital signs and initiate corrective action when necessary
- Administer infusion therapy, including IV fluids, antibiotics, and electrolytes
- Assist with the insertion or discontinuation of CV catheters, arterial lines, and endotracheal tubes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision
- Full, unrestricted license in the District of Columbia
- At least two years of recent experience in PICU, with a focus on critical care nursing
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
