The Finance Department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell seeks an exceptional finance expert to fill the esteemed Robert J. Manning Endowed Chair in Finance position.

This is a tenured full-professor appointment that offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the academic community and profession.

About the Position

We invite applications from tenured full professors or advanced associate professors with a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB-accredited school.

The ideal candidate will have a record of nationally recognized research in any area of Finance, as evidenced by publications in top-tier finance journals.

A strong teaching background and ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and faculty are essential.

Additionally, the successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in service within their academic community and profession.

Responsibilities

The Endowed Chair will be expected to maintain a high-quality research agenda, mentor Ph.D. students, work collegially, and collaborate effectively with faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, and stakeholders within the School and the broader community.

Appointment start date is open, and the initial appointment for the Endowed Chair is five years, renewable for additional three-year terms without limit, subject to successful review of research, teaching, and service activities.

The annual salary for this position is approximately $180,000, plus a one-month summer salary, a substantial research fund, and access to Ph.D. research assistance and administrative support.

  • Tenured Full or Associate Professor with a Ph.D. in Finance from an AACSB-accredited school
