Job Title: Andrology Lab Technician

Fertility Centers of Illinois, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Andrology Lab Technician to join our team in Hinsdale and Warrenville, IL.

Job Summary:

The Andrology Lab Technician will be responsible for examining and processing specimens for routine semen analysis, performing counts for concentration and motility, and processing semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs). The successful candidate will also be responsible for assuring proper sample collection, delivery, and identification, as well as performing daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis
  • Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells, and morphology
  • Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
  • Assure proper sample collection, delivery, and identification
  • Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology laboratory
  • Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biological, or Physical science or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good research skills
  • Advanced computer skills required
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn at all times
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
