As an HVAC Lead Installer, you'll be the leader of your install team, responsible for instructing your team and executing professional install jobs. You'll work hands-on with your crew, installing a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, ensuring installations are done properly, safely, and to the high standards of Degree Heating & Cooling.
About the Role- 5+ years of field experience and a desire to grow and be better supported
- A strong communicator and natural at explaining basic maintenance suggestions to customers
- Enjoy training and mentoring apprentices
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers
- Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of those heating, air conditioning, and ventilation units
- Maintain proper inventory, parts, tools, and knowledge in using appropriate safety equipment in the vehicle
- Mentor and train apprentices on the job and provide them with learning opportunities
- Diagnose service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations
- Excellent customer service abilities in dealing with customers to resolve technical, logistical, and scheduling issues
- Perform quality work with honesty and diligence and follow company procedures and values
- 5+ years of field experience
- Active Driver's License
- Tech Savvy - The ability to use tablets and learn work-related software with ease
- Verifiable experience to develop quotations for repairs and installations of replacement equipment
- Demonstrable analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
- Proven ability in installing, replacing, and serving HVAC systems in new residential and commercial properties
- Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays) or on-call shifts when needed
