Job Summary

Zephyr is a tech-enabled home services platform that empowers technicians and delights homeowners. We're focused on perfecting the home services experience from the inside out. As an HVAC Lead Installer, you'll be the leader of your install team, responsible for instructing your team and executing professional install jobs. You'll work hands-on with your crew, installing a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, ensuring installations are done properly, safely, and to the high standards of Degree Heating & Cooling.

About the Role
  • 5+ years of field experience and a desire to grow and be better supported
  • A strong communicator and natural at explaining basic maintenance suggestions to customers
  • Enjoy training and mentoring apprentices
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for residential customers
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of those heating, air conditioning, and ventilation units
  • Maintain proper inventory, parts, tools, and knowledge in using appropriate safety equipment in the vehicle
  • Mentor and train apprentices on the job and provide them with learning opportunities
  • Diagnose service issues, obtain any replacement parts, calibrate system to manufacturer's recommendations
  • Excellent customer service abilities in dealing with customers to resolve technical, logistical, and scheduling issues
  • Perform quality work with honesty and diligence and follow company procedures and values
Requirements
  • 5+ years of field experience
  • Active Driver's License
  • Tech Savvy - The ability to use tablets and learn work-related software with ease
  • Verifiable experience to develop quotations for repairs and installations of replacement equipment
  • Demonstrable analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals
  • Proven ability in installing, replacing, and serving HVAC systems in new residential and commercial properties
  • Willingness to work weekends (Saturdays) or on-call shifts when needed
