Job Title: Substance Abuse Counselor

We are seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at BayMark Health Services. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a vital role in assisting patients through medically assisted programs and providing techniques for handling opioid addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist patients with crisis management and coping strategies.
  • Coordinate care of assigned patients and present patient status and concerns with the treatment team.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop and implement patient treatment plans according to State regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clinical services, patient care, and education on opiate addiction counseling services to patients.
  • Excellent documentation and computer skills are required.
  • Other related duties as determined by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service field.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Addiction Counselor. License preferred LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAC, CADCII, or ACITII.
  • Must be credentialed in addictions counseling by a nationally recognized credentialing body approved by the division.
  • MAT Certification.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
