Job Summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our clinical laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the work of our laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective utilization of resources.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and direct the work of laboratory staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluation

Plan and schedule laboratory activities, including non-routine procedures and quality control measures

Perform advanced and specialized tests, including duplicate testing to confirm results

Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to laboratory standards

Maintain laboratory areas and equipment in a safe and functional condition

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field

4-6 years of experience as a medical technologist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory

ASCP certification

Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deal with client information in a confidential manner
