Teaching Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Medical Administrative Assisting instructor to join our team at Palmetto School of Career Development. As an instructor, you will be responsible for teaching our 8-week Medical Admin Assisting class on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, current certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant or higher license, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field. Additionally, they should be proficient in computer-assisted environments and possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures and lab demonstrations as outlined in the curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, supportive, and professional learning environment for students.
  • Evaluate student skills acquisition and application of principles, theories, and critical thinking.
  • Administer written and practical tests to assess student achievement of course objectives.
  • Provide feedback to students and assign final grades in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current certification as a Medical Administrative Assistant or higher license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant.
  • Proficient in computer-assisted environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Salary:$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
