About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrical Estimator to join our team at Garber Electrical Contractors in Westerville, OH.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have two years of experience in estimating costs for commercial electric projects and be proficient in bidding software such as Accubid. Strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications and electrical blueprints to understand project requirements
- Gather information from sales teams, project managers, and clients to develop accurate cost estimates
- Create detailed bid proposals using estimating software
- Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to acquire necessary pricing information
- Attend project meetings to discuss ongoing estimates and ensure alignment with customer expectations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of cost principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to create forecasts based on financial data
- Proficient with bidding software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Two years of related field experience required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is approximately $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
