Hospitalist Service

  • Average Daily Encounters: 82
  • Staffing includes four to five physicians and one APP daily, with a seven days on/seven days off schedule
  • Daytime scheduling from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for APP & MD; swing shift from 1:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.; nocturnist coverage from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Observation Unit

  • Annual patient volume of 3,000
  • 10-bed unit adjacent to the ED
  • Utilizes EPIC EMR for efficient patient management
  • Provides 16-hour coverage with overnight ED physician support
  • Proximity to the ED facilitates on-site physician backup and ease of collaboration
