Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician B Level to join our team at LHM Southwest Hyundai. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing routine repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate multi-point inspections on each vehicle
  • Document all work performed and recommended on assigned repair orders
  • Communicate with service advisors on additional work needed or repairs that cannot be completed within the promised time
  • Maintain technician proficiency as specified by Asbury standards
  • Conduct road tests to determine work needed and confirm work was successfully completed when necessary
  • Perform all levels of diagnosis and repair on vehicles
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance services
  • Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs and schools to expand knowledge of new technology
  • Maintain manufacturer CSI Customer Satisfaction Index at or above Asbury specified goals
  • Complete work, notations, and time-keeping necessary for warranty repair orders and filing of warranty claims
  • Report any situation or condition that would jeopardize the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its customers, or employees
  • Ensure customer vehicles are returned in clean condition
  • Understand and complete required training for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and company policy regarding safeguarding customer vehicles, property, and information
Requirements
  • ASE certifications heavily preferred
  • Manufacturer certifications heavily preferred
  • Previous automotive technician experience required
  • Basic tools required
  • Great technical and mechanical skills required
  • Ability to work repetitively on complex tasks
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass pre-employment screening (background and drug test)
