We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Emergency Response Specialist to join our team at Methodist Hospital Metropolitan, a 370-bed hospital in downtown San Antonio. This role requires a strong background in emergency response and critical care nursing.

About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of our patients. As a Critical Care Emergency Response Specialist, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations such as Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis alerts, and other patient-related emergencies. You will also provide expert clinical judgment and decision-making skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to all RRTs, Code Blues, Heart Alerts, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis alerts, and other patient-related emergencies.
  • Document all RRT events in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Communicate professionally with the medical team and maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Stay with the patient until the issue is resolved, appropriate interventions are completed, and/or the patient is safely transferred to the appropriate unit for ongoing management.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree registered nursing program.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
  • 3-5 years of recent experience in an ICU or an ER is required.
  • ACLS, NIH stroke scale is required.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $105,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience.
