Compensation Package

The starting base pay for this role ranges from USD 108,750 to USD 174,000 per year, depending on the geographic location. This total compensation package includes not only a competitive salary but also a bonus and stock awards.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our team of innovators. As a key member of our AI development team, you will contribute to building AI products that have a significant impact on society. Your primary responsibility will be to develop secure, privacy-preserving AI solutions that enable the continuous improvement of existing AI models.

  • You will collaborate with scientists and product managers to build proof-of-concepts (POCs) that shape the future of Axon's technology.
  • Architect and develop secure solutions to optimize existing AI models for edge devices.
  • You will architect the next generation of our continuous deployment framework for AI on device.
  • Enable new AI features on existing and new Axon devices by optimizing models for edge computing.
  • Collaborate with scientists in architecting and implementing state-of-the-art training techniques.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of successfully deploying AI models on devices.
  • Experience with GPU/TPU development and debugging.
  • Proficiency in Python and C++, familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to dive deep into system architecture.
  • Excellent software design skills.
  • Comfort communicating and interacting with scientists, engineers, and product managers.
