Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

RouteOne is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing IT infrastructure solutions that meet the organization's business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement physical and virtual server infrastructure
- Develop disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure systems
- Work with the team to design and implement network infrastructure solutions, such as firewalls and VPNs
- Maintain safety, security, and privacy standards throughout all areas of responsibility
- Support operational and security policies to mitigate risk in cloud-hosted environments
- Ensure compliance with banking industry standards and security policies
- Work with the team to extend existing infrastructure to leverage cloud services (primarily AWS)
- Work with the team to implement and maintain cloud-based solutions, such as AWS or Azure
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure the integration of IT infrastructure solutions
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V
- Disaster recovery solutions, such as Veeam and Zerto
- Knowledge and experience with container technologies - Docker and Kubernetes preferred
- Knowledge of cybersecurity threats and measures to prevent them, such as firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems
- Working knowledge of both cloud and on-premise hosting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Visio
- Well-versed in network infrastructure technologies (firewalls, switches, and routers) and protocols such as TCP/IP, VPN, VLAN, DNS, and DHCP
- Knowledge of storage protocols, architecture, and technologies such as SAN, NAS, RAID, and cloud storage
- Solid understanding of virtualization technologies and cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
- Strong working experience with server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux, Unix
- Knowledge of SQL and Unix/Linux shell scripting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Middle and Application Servers: good understanding of application servers and middleware such as JBoss, WebSphere, and Tomcat
- Web Servers and Load Balancers: experience with web servers such as Apache and Nginx, as well as load balancers such as F5 and HAProxy
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef
- Cloud-based solutions, such as AWS and Azure
- AWS Certified Solution Architect or similar experience
