Job Overview

Furniture Direct is seeking a skilled Freight Courier Specialist to deliver products to customer locations in a timely manner. This role involves driving a vehicle to pick up and drop off goods, as well as inspecting the vehicle to ensure it's in good working condition.

Responsibilities
  • Deliveries: Safely transport products to customers, adhering to delivery schedules and timeslots.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect the delivery vehicle to identify any issues or defects, ensuring it's roadworthy and safe for use.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload packages and materials from the vehicle, taking care to handle items with precision and attention to detail.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of packages and materials, tracking inventory levels and reporting any discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of $45,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, to attract top talent in the industry.
  • Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license and an excellent driving history are essential for this role.
  • Physical Ability: The ability to lift, push, and pull heavy loads, as well as work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliveries and tasks simultaneously.
