Job Summary

As a FSRI Overnight Care Specialist, you will provide guidance and supervision to 5 youth aged 16-21 who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Your role will involve assisting each resident in making decisions about daily life, conduct, and discipline within the boundaries of agency policy and contractual agreements. You will create a safe environment that promotes the physical and mental well-being of each child, implementing and maintaining Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting. Direct care and daily group activities will be a key part of your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and supervision to youth in the LGBTQ+ program
  • Assist residents in making decisions about daily life, conduct, and discipline
  • Create a safe environment that promotes physical and mental well-being
  • Implement and maintain Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting
  • Provide direct care and develop daily group activities for youth
Requirements
  • Empathetic and good listener
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic issues
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, registration, inspection, and driving record
  • Bilingual skills compensated by an additional 6% above base pay
