We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Thornton Care Center. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents, working closely with our interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Job Summary

A successful LPN candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medications and treatments, participating in care planning, and supervising nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients by physical examination, including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Participate in the care planning process, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized plans of care.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of LPNs and certified nursing assistants, ensuring that residents receive the highest level of care.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and families regarding resident care and updates.
  • Document assessments, care, and outcomes in accordance with standards of care and company policy.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must:

  • Be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid State licensure as an LPN.
  • Hold current CPR certification.
  • Possess one year of experience in a long-term care environment, preferably.

The estimated salary range for this position is $52,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
