About the Role:

The Loan Funding Specialist is a key position at Pennymac, responsible for ensuring the successful and compliant disbursement of mortgage loan closings. This role requires a strong understanding of the lending process and ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review executed loan closing documents for accuracy and consistency
  • Verify that mortgage loans are closed in accordance with company and investor policies and requirements
  • Clear any Prior to Funding mortgage loan approval conditions
  • Authorize the disbursement of funds
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

  • Previous mortgage banking experience is preferred, with basic familiarity with the lending process from application through funding
  • Familiarity with Encompass loan processing software is a plus
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
