Dental Team Lead

Genuine Smiles is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Dental Assistant to join our team. This pivotal role is ideal for someone who seeks a challenging and rewarding work environment within our dynamic dental office.
The successful candidate will lead our dental assisting team, supporting dental services that meet high standards of quality and care. We are looking for an upbeat, positive individual who is both self-motivated and team-oriented.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and oversee the work of dental assistants in the practice.
- Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures, including preparing and maintaining dental instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Manage patient scheduling and flow throughout the day to optimize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure that all health and safety regulations are strictly observed, and all patient care is delivered in compliance with infection control protocols.
- Provide guidance and training to new staff members and assist in the performance reviews of dental assisting personnel.
- Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and placing and expediting orders for supplies.
- Develop radiographs and carry out dental x-ray procedures when necessary.
- Document dental care services by charting in patient records in a timely and accurate manner.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, and workshops.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members, providing education on appropriate oral hygiene strategies.
- Must have a valid dental assistant registration.
- Proven experience as a dental assistant; prior leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in various dental office software.
- Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures.
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
- Reliable and strong ability to build trust with patients and team members.
- Must be self-motivated and team oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership qualities, capable of managing and motivating teams.
- Ability to keep a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be CPR certified.
