Job Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the growth of our organization. As a Senior Mechanical Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Demonstrating technical expertise by passing a mechanical skills test to ensure proficiency in using, troubleshooting, and understanding tools and mechanical systems.
  • Recommending tools and mechanical products to clients based on their specific needs, explaining technical features and benefits, and ensuring optimal product selection for various applications.
  • Assisting clients in selecting the right tools for their projects, utilizing in-depth product knowledge to explain the technical aspects and help them make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Providing expert guidance on product usage, maintenance, and troubleshooting to both customers and internal teams, ensuring they understand how to maximize the performance and lifespan of their tools.
  • Creating targeted marketing strategies that highlight the technical advantages and unique features of products, ensuring the messaging resonates with both professional and DIY customers.
  • Working closely with sales teams to develop product positioning and pricing strategies that align with market demand and customer needs.
  • Conducting product demonstrations and training sessions for customers, helping them understand the technical applications and value of various tools and equipment.
  • Monitoring product performance in the marketplace and gathering customer feedback to refine product offerings, enhance marketing materials, and develop new tools based on demand.
  • Developing marketing content (brochures, social media posts, instructional videos, etc.) that clearly explains the functionality and benefits of tools, emphasizing technical performance and reliability.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, innovations, and mechanical technologies to continually advise customers on the best products and solutions available in the market.
  • Assisting in business management tasks such as budget planning, marketing campaign analysis, and inventory forecasting to ensure smooth operations and resource allocation.
  • Collaborating with the product development team to provide insights into customer preferences, mechanical innovations, and emerging industry trends, influencing the development of new tools and accessories.
  • Managing client relationships by providing ongoing support, answering technical queries, and addressing any concerns related to product functionality or performance.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with tools and machinery, including a strong understanding of mechanical systems and their applications.
  • Proven ability to pass a mechanical skills test demonstrating proficiency in using and troubleshooting mechanical tools.
  • Strong experience in business management, including strategic planning, budgeting, and operations.
  • A solid background in marketing, particularly in the tools or mechanical products industry, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-experts.
  • Expertise in product recommendations, helping clients select the best tools based on their needs and explaining the technical specifications in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, including SEO, content marketing, email campaigns, and social media engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly and effectively to customers and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to assess product performance, customer feedback, and market trends to adjust business and marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and marketing platforms (Google Analytics, social media tools, etc.).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. when handling tools or marketing materials.
  • Comfortable working with and demonstrating tools and mechanical systems in a warehouse or customer-facing environment.
