LPN Weekend Warrior

As a Unit Coordinator/Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our unit, ensuring that our residents receive the highest level of care possible. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and take on new challenges every day.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be able to multitask with ease. As a Weekend LPN, you will work 24 hours, getting an extra 8 hours of pay, and will be responsible for administering treatment or medications, performing clinical procedures, and documenting patient data. You will also be responsible for handling physician orders, collecting and maintaining resident data, taking vitals, and assisting with resident comfort.
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious professional with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. If you have experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing, you will be at the top of your game. A current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York is required, as well as a degree from an accredited school or nursing program. Current CPR certification is also required.
We offer a competitive salary of $28.00 per hour, with the potential for overtime pay. Responsibilities:
- Helps to fulfill the care requirements of our patients
- Working closely with others in a fast-paced, team environment under the direction of the Nurse Manager
- Accountable for ensuring that competent care and safety are consistently delivered to all residents
- Handles physician orders, administers medications, collects and maintains resident data, takes vitals, assists with resident comfort
- Assure proper procedures are followed at all times
- Communicate with residents and their families in an appropriate manner
Requirements:
- A current and valid license as an LPN in the state of New York
- A degree from an accredited school or nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Education or experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is preferred
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
- Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable
