Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team on P6, an Inpatient Psychiatry unit at Maine Medical Center. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work closely with Registered Professional Nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care and support our dedicated team of caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking vital signs and assisting patients with basic hygiene and activities of daily living.
  • Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients with complex medical and psychiatric needs.
  • Working closely with Registered Professional Nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.


Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have a valid certification as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maine and be listed on the State Registry. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Experience working in a healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential.

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on experience.
