Education Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Staff to join our Special Education team at Roane County Schools. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social-emotional development of students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist classroom teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and providing support to students with behavioral and emotional needs.
- Carry out instructional plans as prepared by the supervising teacher, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide physical support and assistance to students with mobility needs, while maintaining student confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively with the educational team to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for students.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Meets "Highly Qualified" paraprofessional standards.
- Satisfactory background check.
- Pass drug screening.
