Key Holder

Job Summary: As a Key Holder at Costello's Ace Hardware, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest level of customer service while ensuring efficient store operations. This position involves taking on additional responsibilities beyond those of a Sales Associate, including training staff, overseeing store openings and closings, and protecting store assets.

Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize the E.C.E.T. (Every Customer, Every Time) process in every customer interaction.
• Be customer-ready and provide recommendations on related items when appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of all promotions and advertisements.
• Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
• Assist in training and developing peers.
• Participate in daily huddle meetings.
• Uphold merchandising and store cleanliness standards.
• Process new shipments and maintain a clean and organized receiving and back stock area.
• Greet every customer and respond to phone calls professionally.
• Protect company assets and report any missing or damaged merchandise.
• Advise store management of pricing errors.
• Be proficient in executing store services, such as mixing paint and cutting glass.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequent walking and standing on flat surfaces.
• Frequent reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 60 lbs.
• Frequent use of hands to operate registers and complete paperwork.
• Occasional climbing of stairs and use of ladders.
• Constant vision and hearing for safety and working purposes.
