About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. As a Proposal Development Specialist, you will be responsible for creating winning proposals, qualification statements, and company collateral for professional engineering and construction management services.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage professional services proposals for federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Tailor project descriptions, personnel resumes, and other materials to support successful proposals.
  • Write and edit proposal and presentation materials to ensure clarity, tone, consistency, grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure, and formatting.
  • Produce technical copy for engineering-related proposals and marketing materials.
  • Create effective methods for presenting and organizing proposal information using infographics, tables, and images.
  • Coordinate artwork for proposals, shortlist presentations, and brochures.
  • Work with external consultant firms during proposal development.
  • Assist with document management of resumes and project descriptions for expedited refinement and proposal integration.
  • Support the development of presentations.
  • Research and track pursuit opportunities.
  • Foster productive relationships with internal and external clients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing proposal development efforts.
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop).
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, MS Teams).
  • Skill in using online collaboration tools such as Proofhq/Workfront, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.
  • A clear and concise written and verbal communication style with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to write and edit clear, user-friendly technical documents and creative copy.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and identify and solve problems quickly.
  • Self-motivation, confidence, high energy, and creativity.
