The Healthcare Solutions Consultant role is integral to our New Graduate Program, designed to nurture candidates who are at the beginning of their professional journeys or recent graduates. As a Healthcare Solutions Consultant, you will begin your career in the Specialist I role within the Professional Services Organization.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • The Healthcare Solutions Consultant - Professional Services position involves aiding clients in achieving their organizational aims and objectives. This role requires both independent work and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, possessing knowledge of the company's offerings, optimal configurations, and workflows. You will support and learn from more experienced team members, gradually expected to contribute to all facets of client engagements.

Your Daily Activities:

  • Collaborate closely with project and client teams to support the implementation strategy and service plan development for Professional Services accounts.
  • Deliver consulting services, including best practice processes and workflows, and configuration advice regarding NextGen solutions to clients across various locations, which may include client sites, NextGen offices, and remote settings.
  • Conduct and document Discovery sessions for new implementations to ascertain client-specific configurations and workflows.
  • Design, configure, maintain, and modify best practice workflows tailored to meet individual client requirements.
  • Identify and document gaps in product functionality using standardized procedures.
  • Record all client interactions following established protocols.
  • Provide Go-Live support and facilitate the adoption of the company's products; assist clients in activating new EHR applications with Go-Live support, issue resolution, and end-user adoption.
  • Contribute to the development of service solutions that effectively address client needs.
  • Maintain expertise in relevant subject matter to fulfill assigned tasks.
  • Be prepared to travel up to 75%, with some weekend work required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with: the software life cycle; client relationship management and effective customer service practices; healthcare delivery, including HITECH and MACRA legislation and associated programs and regulations; and a developing understanding of the healthcare industry and consulting methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential. A general understanding of NextGen Solutions and the unique characteristics of various markets and specialties is preferred.
  • Competencies in: customer focus with strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaboration; problem-solving; conflict resolution; project management; presentation; and organizational and time management skills.
  • Capacity to: prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail. Establish and sustain effective working relationships through collaboration and respect.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with healthcare-oriented clients and projects.
  • NextGen NCP Certification is required within six months of employment.
  • Alternative assessments or certifications may be accepted for roles without NCP alignment.
  • Ongoing maintenance and renewal of certification are required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in consulting and/or supporting a professional services organization.
  • One year of direct implementation experience with ambulatory health information systems.

Educational Background:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Data Science, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Completion of continuing education programs and additional training related to this role as required by management.
  • Any combination of education and experience that meets the qualifications for the position is acceptable.
