Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our St. Lawrence Community Health Center in the Bronx, NY. As an RN, you will provide comprehensive nursing support and patient care in our family medicine practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage patients and assist with their needs based on acuity.
  • Provide quality nursing care and medication administration, including immunizations and vaccinations.
  • Monitor patient reactions and side effects.
  • Assist the care team with pre-visit planning for high-risk patients.
  • Ensure implementation of plans of care.
  • Collaborate with medical assistants and phlebotomists to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Prep patients as needed and provide education on health-related topics.
  • Support providers during examinations and treatments.
  • Maintain proper sterilization procedures using germicides, sterilizers, or autoclave.
  • E nsure departmental adherence to clinical policies and procedures.
  • Document patient contact and update patient profiles.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing is required.
  • NYS Registered Professional Nurse certification is mandatory.
  • All experience levels are welcome to apply, whether this is your first role as a nurse or you're a seasoned professional.
  • Bilingual English and one of the following languages is strongly preferred: Spanish, Bangla, Bengali.
  • Excellent communication skills, compassion, empathy, and teamwork are essential.
  • Knowledge/training in electronic health records and Microsoft Office is necessary.
