About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Institutional Sales Professional to join our team in a strategic growth opportunity. The primary focus of this role is to build and maintain relationships with influential decision-makers at allocator firms, including public and corporate pension plans, endowments, foundations, and family offices.

  • This will involve identifying, developing, and maintaining effective professional relationships with key investment contacts among the institutional investor base.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for structuring management of designated accounts, prioritizing research, prospecting through cold and warm calls, scheduling meetings, and initiating discussions with prospects to identify their strategic and tactical aims and introducing possible investment solutions provided by Man Group.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to the development of the overall institutional business development strategy and help to implement the direct sales strategy achieving personal sales target within the timescales set.
  2. Carry out effective, professional presentations on the agreed product range to investment officers/pension fund managers/trustees/field consultants and independent advisors/broader institutional market in a manner that supports business objectives and delivers clear, concise, and relevant information.
  3. Maintain ongoing relationships with new and existing clients.
  4. Organize and implement entertainment and external events such as seminars for prospects and attend relevant industry events in line with the event agenda agreed by the team.

Requirements

  • 4-7+ years of investment management industry experience and 1-3+ years of direct selling experience within the institutional channel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to succeed in an intense, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take ownership and work independently as well as on a team.
  • Proven proficiency in problem resolution and demonstrated initiative.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain communication and partnership with many key stakeholders.
  • Superior attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of all qualifications, licenses, tests, and other requirements required by any regulatory authorities (Series 7, 3, 63).

What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth and development.
