About This Role

Lifepoint Health is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Santa Cruz, California.

Job Summary

This is an ongoing full-time position at Dominican Hospital. Our rehabilitation services provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries or illnesses. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct therapy sessions to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
  • Communicate patient progress and challenges to supervisors and colleagues; manage patient scheduling and documentation.
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Instruct patients' families or nursing staff on follow-up programs.
  • Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and clean condition.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology.
  • A minimum of six months experience working with adult and geriatric populations.
  • An unrestricted Speech Language Pathologist license in the state where services are rendered.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
